At Pasifika Advocacy Group, we ensure Pacific Island advocacy remains at the forefront, strengthening families in New Zealand. Our work is grounded in the values that have sustained Pacific communities for generations β collective responsibility, respect for elders, and the sacred bonds of family and community.
We partner with local organisations, fostering relationships to enhance Pacific Island advocacy and create sustainable community growth in New Zealand. Strong communities don't happen by accident β they're built through intentional connection, shared purpose, and collective action.
Advocating for policy changes, we strive for a fair society. Systemic inequity demands systemic advocacy β and we bring both cultural insight and professional rigour to that work.
Our team values the diverse cultures of the Pacific Islands. We don't translate Pacific values into Western frameworks β we work within Pacific frameworks from the start.
We support entire whΔnau in overcoming challenges together. In Pacific cultures, individual wellbeing cannot be separated from family and community wellbeing.
Our mission is to dismantle barriers, allowing Pacific Island people in New Zealand to thrive in a just environment that respects their culture.
Whether it's navigating the justice system, accessing healthcare, securing employment, or finding housing β systemic barriers disproportionately affect Pacific communities. We exist to level that ground.
